Abstract
An investigation of the effects of the dilute nitrogen contents in the exciton states of cylindrical InxGa1−xNyAs1−y/GaAs quantum dots is presented. The exciton states in the system are obtained within the effective mass theory and the band anti-crossing model. Exciton-related nonlinear optical absorption and refractive index change, as well as excitonic photoluminescence are studied with the help of the calculated exciton states.
