Excess molar enthalpies of binary and ternary mixtures formed by methanol, 2-butanol and benzene

Abstract

Excess molar enthalpies of 2-butanol—benzene and methanol—2-butanol—benzene mixtures were measured with an isothermal dilution calorimeter at 25°C. The experimental results for three binary mixtures composing the ternary mixture are well correlated with the UNIQUAC associated-solution model. The ternary experimental results are predicted with good accuracy by the model with binary parameters alone.
