Abstract
Bu çalışmada öğretmen adaylarının elektrostatik dengedeki iletkenler ve elektrik alan çizgileri konusundaki bilgilerini araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Buna uygun olarak araştırmanın yöntemi için betimsel model seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Gazi Fizik Öğretmenliği programında öğrenim gören, elektrik alan çizgileri konusunu derslerinde görmüş olan, 34’ü kadın, 10’u erkek, toplam 44 öğretmen adayından oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan, üç kısımdan oluşan Elektrik Alan Çizgileri Çizim Envanteri ile toplanmıştır. Ardından öğretmen adaylarından çizimlerini açıklamaları istenmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarından alınan cevaplar betimsel analize tabi tutulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, öğretmen adayı çizimlerinin en fazla “elektrik alan çizgileri birbirini kesmez” özelliğini, en az ise “elektrik alan çizgilerinin sivri uçlarda sık çizilir” özelliğini yansıttığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca, öğretmen adaylarından elektrik alan kavramını elektrik akımı ile elektrik alan çizgilerini yük kavramı ile karıştırdıkları görülmüştür. Çizimlerde cisimlerin yüklerine dikkat etmeden alan çizgilerini rastgele çizdikleri belirlenmiştir. Buna ek olarak, öğretmen adaylarının sahip oldukları bilgilerin ise bilimsel temellere dayanmadığı belirlenmiştir.
