Abstract
We have exactly solved the hierarchy of Green functions for the two-site Hubbard model. The relationship between the number of poles in the Green function and the posibility of linearization of the hierarchy chain is derived; consequently, it is shown that the validity of the Roth decoupling scheme is strongly dependent on the number of poles in the exact Green function.
