Abstract

The essence of the development of five successive US strategies for the Central Asia during the past 30 years was the evolution of America's strategic perception, instead of its absolute strategic capability in this area. In the implementation of its strategic perception, US strategic planning toward the Central Asia went through four stages of evolution, while changed its strategic boundary from “two Central Asia” to “one Central Asia”.
