Abstract

To optimize the operating conditions of any microbial process, evolutionary operation (EVOP) technique can be applied as a tool. This is very efficient to optimize the combined effect of two or three variables and their interaction on a biological process. The application of EVOP methodology to optimize the environmental conditions for any biological system has not yet been reported in the literature. In this paper firstly EVOP methodology for optimizing two-variable experiments has been outlined and then applied to optimize protease biosynthesis by Rhizopus oryzae (RO, IIT KGP).
