Abstract

Feminist aesthetics has made women aware that there is no fundamental distinction that can distinguish the writings of women and men. The origin of feminine aesthetic consciousness in the subcontinent is more visible in the late nineteenth century when women started writing alongside men. Various means of expression were available to these writings, including a monthly magazine "Ismat. In the articles of "Ismat" monthly, women were informed that if a woman is educated, she can educate and train other women and illiterate people with her knowledge and skills. In this paper, the role of Mahnama Ismat in the evolution of feminine aesthetics in the Pakistan is presented
