Abstract
The thermally stimulated currents in anthracene crystals were subjected to a further study. On the low-temperature side a peak corresponding to a discrete trapping level with activation energyE=(0.24±0.04) eV and frequency factorΦ=2.6·106 s−1 was isolated. A further discrete trapping level with activation energyE=(0.48±0.03) eV and frequency factorΦ=4.8·108 s−1 was isolated on the high-temperature side. The analysis of the experimental data gives evidence for the substitutional nature of the TSC traps: traps originate from substitution of anthracene molecules by similar molecules in the two unequivalent positions of the crystal lattice unitary cell.
