Abstract
With the substantial increase of urban motorization and the acceleration of the process of urbanization in China, urban traffic conditions are becoming worse. Traveler satisfaction for urban traffic conditions is becoming worse. However, the evaluation results may be significantly different because the different types of traveler choice different index to evaluate satisfaction of urban traffic conditions, and it may bring inconvenience for the urban traffic managers. In order to overcome differences of the results of the above evaluation, the paper concludes with traffic capacity, level of control, delay time, traffic load, management status, and environmental protection to be the six final evaluation indexes from the many indexes that can effect evaluation of urban road traffic conditions by factor analysis Then the travelers comprehensively evaluate the satisfaction of the urban road traffic conditions in accordance with the six indexes. The results indicate that the evaluation results agree with the fact of the present. Finally, the results of the evaluation are analyzed by cluster method.
