Evaluation of the phase-matching properties of nonlinear optical materials in the powder form

Abstract

We describe an experimental technique for evaluating the phase-matching properties of nonlinear optical materials in powder form. The short wavelength phase-matching cutoff can be measured for new materials in a form readily available. We also selected, through this technique, three materials useful for device applications.
