Abstract

Aim This study aims to evaluate the general quality and educational value of YouTube peri-implantitis videos. Material and method The keyword peri-implantitis was utilized to perform a search on YouTube. The top 120 results listed by relevance on YouTube were saved. The inclusion criteria in the final list was determined as the video being English, running at least two minutes or longer and with 720p or higher quality. The remaining 68 videos were evaluated. Descriptive data of views, likes, dislikes, duration (minutes), days passed since upload, comments, viewing rate, and interaction index were created. The videos were divided into the following categories: source, content, and target audience. The videos were evaluated using the video information and quality index (VIQI) for general quality and the global quality scale (GQS) for educational value.
