Abstract
The BIPM uses a quadrature bridge to link capacitance standards to resistance standards. The frequency dependence of the resistances used in the quadrature bridge (a pair of 51.6 kOmega resistors) is determined by comparison with a calculable coaxial resistor of 1290.6 Omega. The quadrature bridge can be operated at three different frequencies (1027 Hz, 1541 Hz and 3082 Hz) using three different pairs of capacitors of values 3000 pF, 2000 pF and 1000 pF, respectively. The frequency dependence of each capacitance in this range of frequencies is deduced from these measurements
