Abstract
In this work, Pd-Au nanoparticles supported on Amberlyst® resin (Pd-Au/Amberlyst®) as bimetallic photocatalyst with super adsorption performance, plasmonic effect, and fast interfacial charge migration was synthesized. The nano photocatalyst was characterized by FT-IR, ICP, XRD, FESEM, EDS mapping analysis, and TEM. Photocatalytic degradation under visible light of parathion as an organophosphorus pesticide by Pd-Au/Amberlyst® nanocomposite was studied. UV–Vis absorption spectroscopic technique studies were employed to investigate the performance of the nanocatalyst. This nanocatalyst has several fascinating advantages including easy preparation method, good catalytic activity, environmentally benign reaction conditions and was recovered with no considerable decrease in activity, it could be reused 6 times without obvious decrease in the yield of reactions.
