Abstract

In the article the technique of calculation of stability of pit walls, stacked rock soil, taking into account geologostroy characteristics of the rock mass and the spatial position of the zones of weakening in relation to the pit walls. It is shown that, depending on their mutual orientation the objective of pit slope stability can be solved in two-dimensional or threedimensional setting. Examples of calculating the stability of opencast sites, subject to zones of weakening for two-dimensional limiting equilibrium methods and finite elements in threedimensional statement – by the volume of the rock blocks. Described modern criteria of strength, which is recommended for the modeling of the stability of rock landslides. The proposed methodology for stability assessment of pit walls, laid in rocky soil, allow to choose the method of calculation, depending on the joint orientation of the structural plane of the rock mass and the spatial position of the pit walls.
