Abstract

Metal matrix composites (MMCs) are being progressively more known nowadays. The key point in this paper is to study the mechanical properties of aluminium 6061 alloy strengthened with Al2O3 and ZrO2 and process is completed with the aid of stir casting system. The tensile and compressive test of the MMCs carried with the help of computerized UTM. The experimental results showing that the compressive and tensile strength increased with addition of Al2O3 as invariable of 2.5% along with a boost of 1, 2, 3 and 4% of ZrO2.
