Abstract
AbstractFatigue tests under variable amplitude multiaxial loading were conducted on titanium alloy TC4 tubular specimens. A method to estimate the fatigue life under variable amplitude multiaxial loading has been proposed. Multiaxial fatigue parameter based on Wu–Hu–Song approach and rainflow cycle counting and Miner–Palmgren rule were applied in this method. The capability of fatigue life prediction for the proposed method was checked against the test data of TC4 alloy under variable amplitude multiaxial loading. The prediction results are all within a factor of two scatter band of the test results.
