Materials and methods: Prospective, clinical intervention study on 30 periodontal pockets in 21 patients with mild and moderate periodontitis (AAP 2014). After the patients received scaling and root planing, curcumin gel was injected into periodontal pockets. The periodontal clinical indices were assessed at baseline and 30 days, 45 days after treatment. Results: All periodontal clinical indexes after 30 days and 45 days of treatment showed statistically significantly reduced compared to those at baseline (p<0.05).
