Abstract

FCC phase or α-phase Copper-Zinc (Cu1-x Znx) alloys with different zinc compositions, x = 4.85, 9.75, 14.65, 19.55, 24.45, 29.50, 34.35 have been taken and prepared/measured from spectroscopically pure metals by melting method/technique of glass blowing and vacuum (air void) sealing procedure or method with suitable ratio of quantities in evacuated, displaced quartz tubes. Throughout the method of this procedure, copper-zinc mixture was stirred/stimulated to obtain alloy of given compositions of Cu1-x Znx alloys. The powder samples of all the α phase Cu1-x Znx alloys have been obtained by filing the cu-zn ingots using jeweller’s file. The experimental values of θM have been compared with the values of evaluating from different methods, Debye temperatures calculated from Kopp-Neumann, composition dependence method, energy, empirical, Gril-Mittra relations. These values fit/agree well with the experimental values.
