Abstract

A $188,000 grant for a coal resource drilling and evaluation project in the area just east of Denver, Colorado, has been awarded to the Colorado Geological Survey by the U.S. Geological Survey.The coal evaluation study is part of a nationwide program by the USGS to assess the quantity and quality of the nation's coal resources, as authorized by the Federal Coal Leasing Amendments Act of 1975.
