Abstract Aiming at the lack of evaluation methods for the life prediction of the inner pressure seal layer of in-service flexible composite hoses, the accelerated aging test method, which is the same as the transport medium and environmental conditions, and the Arrhenius equation principle are adopted to fit the life curve at different temperatures, so as to solve the problem that the life prediction of in-service flexible composite hoses is not possible at present. It provides the basis for the integrity management of flexible composite hose. The results show that the established aging life prediction model can meet the actual application requirements. The crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) of internal pressure seal can be used for 76 years.
