Abstract

This paper describes a single terminal step distance scheme using commercially available relays for use on a six-phase transmission line, and gives the results of its performance for simulated faults on a six-phase transmission system with all phases in service, and with one, two, or three phases out of service. This paper also gives an overview and evaluation of the testing of the scheme via low level analog test sets.
