Abstract

Under the background of carbon neutrality, energy security is of great significance to the sustainable development of China. According to the DPSIR model, this paper constructs an energy security evaluation index system which includes five dimensions: energy security driving-forces, energy security pressures, energy security state, energy security impacts and energy security responses, and then calculates the weight of each index and evaluates China’s energy security from 2010 to 2019 by entropy weight TOPSIS model. The results show that economic growth, urbanization, and other driving forces have brought great pressure to energy security, and the improvement trend of energy security has not been maintained, which has had a negative impact on human production and life activities and environment, and the government has failed to take sufficiently strong measures to continue to respond. The results of the TOPSIS method shows that the overall level of energy security in China is low, but it has entered the “basic safety” level and is continuously improving. Finally, this paper puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations.
