Abstract

A model using single-case designs for evaluating problem and systems change in family therapy is presented and illustrated. The model demonstrates methods of simultaneously investigating (a) the contribution of family-systems processes to problem maintenance and change and (b) the role of treatment in affecting both family processes and problems.
