Abstract

Boophilus microplus is the most important tick to the colombian cattle. Several chemical syntehic products are currenty used to control it with variable results. Searching for a new chemical alternative, extracts of Sapindus saponaria were evaluated against full blood tick females specially oviposition, eggs viability and fertility. Treated ticks group were affected in all parameters at 50-500 ppm.
