Abstract

Objective: The objective of this research work was to evaluate the management and level of occupational risks in the personnel of the Hospital Regional Lambayeque Central Sterilization-2021. Material y methods: The research was quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive-propositive, whose sample consisted of 36 people (8 nurses and 28 nursing technicians), collecting the data by survey, the instrument being the questionnaire; which was validated by 8 experts in central sterilization and its reliability was determined by Cronbach’s alpha of 0.942. Results: The results that showed high risk were: psychological among which job dissatisfaction 83%, lack of motivation 67 % and poor communication 81 % stand out; chemical risks, of which exposure to chemical substances represented a high risk 78 %; biological risk from exposure to blood and fluids (69 %); ergonomic risks from standing for more than 3 hours (50 %), repetitive positions (75 %) and sedentary lifestyle (42 %). Conclusions: high risk occupational risks are psychological, chemical, biological and ergonomic risks and risk management it was qualified as inadequate.
