Abstract

A recently released report from the European Commission attempts to provide a snapshot of the current status of renewable energy in the European Union. The report also aims to dispel widespread misconceptions and enable a more rational, proactive societal approach to renewables in Europe. Arnulf Jager-Waldau and Harald Scholz European Commission summarise the main areas covered in the report.
