Abstract

Voters in the United Kingdom go to the polls on 23rd June to take part in a referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union. Most commentators suggest that this is likely to be the most significant question put to the electorate for a generation. Latest polls at the time of writing suggest that the national vote could be very close. The polls also reveal regional differences in attitudes towards the EU across the UK. In this section of Regions, RSA members comment on the headline issues that appear to be influencing the public debate across the UK national territories and the regions of England.
