Abstract
The article discusses the use of ethnic style in modern costume design, as well as the relevance of the appeal of designers to ethnic sources as an effective subject for designing modern clothes. The prerequisites for interest in ethnic style in costume design are indicated on the example of the national Kyrgyz costume.
