Abstract

Emily Friedman, a writer, lecturer, and health policy and ethics analyst, is a contributing writer for the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), and a contributing editor of the Health Forum Journal, Hospitals and Health Networks, and the American Journal of Medicine. She also contributes to Health Progress. Friedman is most noted for her work in health policy, the social ethics of health care, including the relationship of die public and communities with the health care system, ethics and policy issues associated with managed care, and health care for the underserved. She analyzes health care systems, health policy history, health services research, and demographics.
