Abstract

Against the backdrop of a desperate wait for treatment for Alzheimer's, patients and their care partners are actively seeking newly approved anti-amyloid antibody treatments. These drugs may reduce cognitive decline but also increase the risk of swelling, edema, and encephalitis. In this period of uncertainty, there is a need for interdisciplinary deliberation about treatment options. The radiology nurse, equipped with knowledge of individuals' care needs and ethical principles, is ideally positioned to encourage communication among different parties to ensure ethical care.
