Abstract

The study highlights the importance of a sound and universal ethical approach in addressing the ethical and technological complexities related to climate geoengineering. It concludes that as humanity faces urgent climate challenges, it is critical that solutions are guided by ethical principles that ensure justice, equity and sustainability, while considering practical and moral risks. UNESCO demonstrates a cautious stance in the search for solutions to climate change, emphasizing the need not to inadvertently compromise environmental integrity and ethical values amid technological progress.
