Abstract
One of the challenges of a pervasive media presence is the effect it has on our understanding of what is good and bad. This is more so with respect to children who are beginning to consume mass media content at ages younger and younger. This study describes the media environment of the middle and upper class, urban, educated and employed families explore their ideas of what constitutes good and bad and how this affects their children.
