Abstract

1. 1. Ethane transformation was studied on a Ultrasil type zeolite-containing catalysts modified with zine at 550°–750°C; maximum armomatization activity was observed at 650°C. Aromatic hydrocarbon yield reached 14·5 wt.% on a ZnHU-45/Al 2O 3 catalyst with a selectivity for aromatization of 34·8 wt%. 2. 2. Liquid products from ethane transformation were essentially aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene and its alkyl-substituted products being predominant. 3. 3. No fundamental difference was observed in the composition and distribution of products from ethane transformation on catalysts with different zeolite moduli and binders.
