Abstract

Neutrophils have remained understudied in malignant brain tumors. In a recent issue of Cell, Maas etal. analyze brain tumor-patient samples and demonstrate that the brain microenvironment reprograms infiltrating neutrophils to enhance their longevity and increase their immune-suppressive and pro-angiogenic properties.
