Abstract

A Comparative Law study of administrative litigation is carried out in order to understand the significance and scope of Uruguayan administrative litigation regulations created under the Uruguayan Constitution of 1952 and preserved under the Constitution of 1967 which is still in force, as a mixed system between the Judicial System of Anglo-Saxon origin and the French administrative litigation system. Furthermore, the concept and historical evolution of Uruguay’s administration litigation system is reviewed, analyzing the main traits of annulment actions filed before the Administrative Litigation Court.
