Abstract

The enlightened French are recognized in the history of scientific European thought appearing collected in school manuals. However, contemporary Spanish scholars of that time have been rescued for their intellectual height recently, since the 90s. Scientific production about the Universalist School is analyzed in the form of a bibliometric review, with special emphasis on the figure of Juan Andrés. Scientific articles are investigated in two databases of Web of Science and Dialnet. The results provide a sample of 51 articles in a range from 2001 to 2020 by 15 researchers, mostly national and male, highlighting Astorgano Abajo and Aullón de Haro. The articles are classified in Humanities works of the type of historical reconstruction and philological hermeneutics in Journals not only of Humanities, but also in those of Social Sciences. Mostly with a nature of character specialized in authors of this school or about specific issues. It is concluded that these themes have been scientifically consolidated by constancy, deepening, extension, quality, dissemination and by arousing an interest of a transdisciplinary nature.
