Abstract

Alzheimer's disease is a dementia syndrome altering neurological processes, cognitive and interactional in the elderly population. Misinformation, lack of preparation and support to family members are some of the factors that further complicate the ways of understanding and coping in the conviviality and in routine care for people affected by this disease. Given this scenario, there are support groups that promote the socialization of information and offer a space where the family caregivers can share the experiences of care and living with people with Alzheimer’s disease. It is in this empirical field that  the present work aims to highlight the referential strategies involved in the construction of objects of discourse and the development of the topic in a narrative from the interactions of the Support Group. To achieve this goal, the theoretical approach of this study is based on the textual-interactive perspective, developed at the interface between the linguistic and textual analysis of conversation. Our analysis shows that the labels can provide a better understanding of the topical concentration and its relationship with the aspects of interactional contexts of use of speech marked by an institutional boundary.
