BRESLIN THE AUTHOR: is Director, Davidson Laboratory, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey. He joined the Davidson Laboratory in 1954 as a senior research engineer in charge of the Flow Phenomena Division. In 1956 he became Technical Director and in 1959, Director, which position he now holds. Dr. Breslin received his B.S. degree from Webb Institution 1944, his M.A. from the University of Maryland in 1951 and his doctorate from Stevens Institute in 1956. Before joining Stevens Institute he was employed as a Naval Architect and hydraulic engineer at David Taylor Model Basin from 1944 to 1951 and as a hydrodynami-cist with Gibbs and Co., Inc., from 1951 to 1954.
