KORVIN-KROUKOVSKY THE AUTHOR received a Sc.M. degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and for many years was connected with aircraft industry as Vice President in Charge of Engineering at EDO Corporation. Subsequently, he spent several years as the Research Professor in Fluid Mechanics at Davidson Laboratory, Stevens Institute of Technology, where he was drawn into the problems in the theory of Naval Architecture. He is now retired but maintains consulting connection with Davidson Laboratory. He is the author of many articles and several papers delivered at the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers on ship motions in waves and on propulsion characteristics of ships, and is active in Technical Panels of this Society.Search for more papers by this author B.
