Abstract

The concept of three-dimensional energy of vaporization is applicable for the estimation of binary parameters in the Hiranuma equation similar to Wilson's. Solvation energy data, necessary for systems involving solvation, are tabulated. When the value of α i ( i = water) is taken to be 3.0, this method can predict vapor—liquid equilibria for aqueous mixtures as well as for nonaqueous ones. BASIC programs have been prepared for the evaluation of the additive terms of the vaporization energy and the calculation of binary parameters.
