Abstract
Experiments on a diode laser-pumped rubidium (Rb) beam atomic clock are carried out. A novel microwave resonance method (HORR) with a conventional cylindrical cavity is used. On the basis of the experimental results, the expected frequency accuracy of 1.4×10-12 is theoretically estimated with this clock. A frequency stability as high as 7.8×10-13 τ-1/2 is also estimated.
