Abstract

The information criterion is applied to estimate the state of linear dynamic systems in the presence of random disturbances on the input and the output. The problem of finding the best information estimator is reduced to an optimal control problem. An expression for the maximum mean information is derived. Recursive Kalman-Bucy filters are constructed.
