Abstract
The article deals with analysing sound absorption of prayers in big congregational mosques. Peculiarity of sound absorption measurement in prayer halls is linked with the capability of mosque worshipers to pray in different poses with diverse arrangements as opposed to the traditional halls where people usually sit in chairs. This factor has a strong influence over the sound absorption coefficient which should be taken into account in acoustical design of such buildings.
