Abstract

The aim of this systematic review article was to determine the relationship between types of parenting styles and emotional intelligence in the child population. In addition, the type of study was qualitative; taking into account that the databases were university repositories, ProQuest, SciELO, Redalyc, Dialnet, Ebsco Host and the journal Científica, Comunicación y Desarrollo. The number of articles selected as a sample was 20. Likewise, according to the articles consulted by year of publication, 2023 was more predominant; the countries with more research on these variables were Spain and Colombia; and the database where more research was found was SciELO. Therefore, it could be concluded that parenting styles is the way in which parents act in the education of their children and emotional intelligence is the capacity that people develop to recognize, manage and control their emotions.
