Abstract

In this article, he presents an x-ray on the scientific knowledge produced on the Chileanization process in the former Peruvian region of Tarapacá, during the first fifty years of Chilean administration in the conquered jurisdiction. The various perspectives that have addressed this issue are shown and concludes with a balance on the shortcomings and strengths that the generated scientific knowledge delivers regarding the Chileanization process in Tarapacá.
