Summary

Introduction

Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolate (Lamb.) Hook) is the most important conifer species for commercial wood production in southern China Zheng et al [1]. Chinese fir accounts for about 25 % of total plantation area in China and about 50 % of domestic plantation timber production in southern China. Most research about Chinese fir was forced on traditional breeding Zhang, et al [3]. DNA methylation profiling had become an important technology in many areas of epigenetics research Zhang, Kimatu et al [4]. Methylation profiling approaches were aimed at investigating DNA methylation patterns either across the entire genome and at different levels of resolution, or they were used to study methylation patterns at specific areas of interest, for example at promoters and other regulatory elements Fatemi et al [5].
