Abstract

The author has defined the definition and functions, as well as analyzed the qualities and abilities of fashion buyers. Six dimensions of the competence model of fashion buyers have been summed up as follows: predictive ability, professional knowledge, analysis ability, marketing ability, communication ability and personal traits. Then the author verifies the competence model of fashion buys through questionnaires and surveys, and finally, discusses the application of the competence model of fashion buys to recruitment management, performance management, team management and training management of the garment enterprises.
