Abstract

This paper describes the basic theoretical knowledge of piezoelectric ceramic materials, analyzes piezoelectric bimorph deformation theory, sums up the common way of working of the piezoelectric bimorph as a driving source. Based on the internal energy analysis of three layers structure piezoelectric bimorph, we establish a model of output force and output displacement under different loading conditions in the cantilever mode. On the basis of the established model, by the simulation we study the effects of piezoelectric bimorph shape parameter, material parameters, load on the the maximum output force and maximum output displacement. As a result, different parameters of piezoelectric bimorphs have different effects on their output performance, and under different operating conditions, the impact is not the same. The establishment of models and the analysis of simulation provide a theoretical basis for designing piezoelectric bimorphs to meet different working conditions.
