Abstract
X線照射したアジピン酸ヘキサメチレンジアミン単結晶のESRを測定した。ESRスペクトルの異方性の解析から,(a)ラジカルはアジピン酸部のα位のメチレン基から水素が1個とれてできた……-OOCCH(CH2)3COO-……であり,(b)ラジカル分子が母体分子から生成されるときに炭素骨格の変形が起っていることがわかった。このESRスペクトルは温度変化を示す。これはラジカルのメチレン基が振幅の大きい熱振動を起すためである。これを非調和振動ポテンシァルによって解析し,そのポテンシァルの深さが約10kcal/molであると推定した。
