Abstract
Continuing the series of features on packaging related topics in advanced semiconductors, we report on SEED — a mew ESPRIT project to investigate the thermal characterization of electronic parts. The project's aim is more reliable products from reduced thermal stress, the principal cause of failure in modern electronics systems including those based on compound semiconductors like GaAs.
